Unfortunately there are many Fitness Myths out there that are all too common. Which ones of these have you heard?

MYTH #1

Muscle will turn to Fat if/when you stop working out

FACT

Lack of exercise causes the body to burn fewer calories and may lead to weight gain and/or an increase in your body fat. The muscles may reduce in size from the lack of exercise, but this does NOT mean that the muscle is turning into fat – it ISN’T! What is happening is that your muscles are becoming smaller and the increased body fat is covering it. A healthy diet and regular exercise can help prevent this.
